Across GA, we pursue creative funding models to help learners access our life changing programs and launch their careers in tech.
Regardless of previous barriers to education and employment, General Assembly believes everyone should be able to pursue a meaningful career they love.
Obtain a Government Grant to cover tuition
Do you live in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Utah, or Washington? If so, you may qualify for a government grant through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). These grants can often cover the full cost of a GA Short Course or Information Technology (IT) Bootcamp. Find your local American Job Center hereto check your eligibility and get started.
Community-Based Cohorts

Each year, many of our generous employers sponsors support learners from underrepresented communities to participate in GA programs at no out of pocket cost.
Prior related cohorts include Adobe, John Deere, M&T Bank, Uber and many other major tech firms. These programs are often geographically based and recruit on set schedules.

Enroll with one of our nonprofit partners
Through a dedicated partnership, GA collaborates with local nonprofits such as St. Nicks Alliance and TechBuffalo to identify and support students from non-traditional tech backgrounds. These programs, funded through external grant funding, run on a per cohort basis.
